“Transcendent”, “Magnetic”, and “Phenomenal” are just a few words to describe Deon Brown. Originally from Pasadena, CA, the multidisciplinary singer/song-writer orchestrates bodies of work beyond the boundaries of R&B/Hip Hop. Deon explores various themes of family relationships, home, police brutality, toxic masculinity and queerness. His body of work leaves all wondering what his next act will be and wanting more. Seeking inspiration from his religious upbringing, Deon offers multi-faceted stories of identity, religion and politics centered around Blackness through sound.

Brown launched his career with the highly anticipated album release, “HOME”, launched after his debut opening performance for Rico Nasty in 2021. “HOME” offers a breath of wind, soaked with intimate recordings and samples that provide their own worlds.

From the deeply spiritual and ethereal “Ova the Rainbow (Live)” and “Affirmation 1”, to the punk and southern rap fragments of “Onyx”, there is an ambition—and audacity—in Brown’s work that feels hard to deny.
