Mint

Mint began their rock-n-roll journey in 2014 in sunny, Southern California. As the dreaded del-tone of Dick Dale lingered in their minds, they felt a necessary change at hand. Time’s natural progression and the ghost of Jerry Garcia brought the band north to the golden-gated city of San Francisco. The excruciating grey (Malkmus, 1997) pervaded their minds; darker hued tones of Interpol, Joy Division, and The Cure entered the repertoire.

On their latest release, Dividing Lines, the quartet steer into noisier territory. Driving stabs of post-punk and washes of dream pop complexify their trademark penchant for danceable rhythms and infectious guitar hooks. Dividing Lines was recorded at Different Fur Studios in the fall and winter of 2023 with engineer/co-producer Sean Fonda and marks the first release to feature a new rhythm section and the start of a new era for the band.
